The study will be carried out in two stages. Stage 1 aims to reach an agreement between psi proponents and sceptics on the methodological requirements of a mutually acceptable study design, while in Stage 2 we will carry out a fully transparent replication of Bem’s Experiment 1 based on the consensus design agreed upon in Stage 1. The current study introduces two innovations, which enable full transparency of a study and expert consensus on research design before study execution. We expect that these innovations will significantly improve the acceptability of any research project among the scientific community. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach, we utilize the above mentioned innovations alongside with today’s best practice methodology guidelines on a parapsychology experiment. This experiment was chosen as a case study of our methodology because its findings were often interpreted as demonstration of QRPs by sceptical scientists.
