After beginning it in 2023, the Higher Education Pedagogy Conference continues its discourse on the diversity found in the field of higher education pedagogy with plenary sessions, structured discussions and professional workshops.

The diversity of research and development in higher education pedagogy is an asset for the Hungarian higher education. University teachers’ pedagogical awareness and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) may influence individual and collective learning in universities, as well as institutional performance in a variety of ways. The conference offers an opportunity to explore this diversity and to understand individual and collective processes. Through a joint exchange of ideas, we will reflect on disciplinary differences, the dynamics of program and course development, and organizational specificities, using methodologies and approaches from higher education pedagogical research. In 2024, we again invite academics and educational developers from a wide range of disciplinary fields as well as educational reserarchers interested in teaching and learning processes in higher education. We will continue the discourse launched in 2023 with a plenary lecture, structured discussions and professional workshops.

The plenary talk at this year's Higher Education Pedagogy Conference will be given by Franziska Zellweger Moser, a researcher at the Centre for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education at the Pädagogische Hochschule in Zürich, with the title "Academic development as a collective effort: interdisciplinarity, coherence and organizational learning".
