The legacy of the Hungarian-born psychoanalyst-psychiatrist, consisting of nearly three thousand volumes, will be inaugurated at a joint ceremony of ELTE and the Hungarian Psychoanalytical Association.

André Haynal was born in Budapest in 1930, and completed his university studies here and in Zurich. He was Head of Department at the University of Geneva, member of the Swiss Academy of Medicine, President of the Swiss Psychoanalytical Society and Honorary Member of the Hungarian Psychoanalytical Association. After his death, his family donated his collection on psychoanalysis to the Library of ELTE PPK.

Andrea Dúll, Vice-Dean of ELTE PPK and Ágoston Schmelowszky, President of the Hungarian Psychoanalytical Association will give a speech at the ceremony. The members of the Haynal family are special guests of the event.
