Qualtrics
Qualtrics is a cloud-based questionnaire editing software available on the faculty. After the renewal of the software license in November 2021, the features of the previous license (such as offline mode or advanced question types and all other previously known features) will still be available.

ACCOUNT CREATION

FOR RESEARCHERS/LECTURERS:

Academic faculty staff can request an individual account at qualtrics@ppk.elte.hu.

To do so, please include the following information in the email:

  • a chosen username, which should take the form of an email address, but does not need to be an existing email address
  • name
  • email address: this must be an existing email address, which will be used for sending e.g. password reminders, invitation emails for joint projects, etc. (for simplicity’s sake, this can be the same as the email address used as a username, as specified above)

A password will be generated when the user account is created, but once the account is created a password reminder will be sent to the email address provided, which will allow the account holder to set a new password on the platform and start using the account.

FOR RESEARCH GROUPS:

Research groups can set up a joint research account. Since the issuing of individual student/PhD student accounts has been discontinued, they can use the joint accounts of the research teams to conduct their research.

Research group leaders can request a shared account by sending an email to qualtrics@ppk.elte.hu.

To do so, please provide the following information in the email:

  • a chosen username, which should take the form of an email address, but does not need to be an existing email address
  • name (name of the research group)
  • -mail address: this must be an existing email address, which will be used for sending e.g. password reminders, invitation emails for joint projects, etc. (for simplicity’s sake, this can be the same as the email address used as a username, as specified above)

A password will be generated when the user account is created, but once the account is created a password reminder will be sent to the email address provided, which will allow the account holder to set a new password on the platform and start using the account. To use the account, these login credentials will need to be used by the members of the research group (i.e. no individual users will be added to the group, but a common account will be available to all members of the research group). The account can be accessed by several people at the same time (even by all members), so concurrent use is possible.

FOR STUDENTS/PHD STUDENTS/DOCTORAL CANDIDATES:

Individual student/PhD student/doctoral candidate Qualtrics accounts will be phased out. Those who have active thesis/dissertation related research in progress may continue data collection until the research is completed. Students/PhD students/doctoral candidates will be able to use the joint account of the research groups for their research, after consulting with the head of the research group. In special cases, for PhD students/doctoral candidates not belonging to a research group, it is possible to set up an account at the individual request of the topic supervisor. Each such request is subject to individual consideration.

Student status will be checked regularly (as in the past), and accounts of students who are no longer affiliated to the faculty will be deleted after prior warning.

FOR DEPARTMENTAL/INSTITUTIONAL ADMINISTRATORS, NON-ACADEMIC STAFF:

The individual Qualtrics accounts of departmental/institutional administrators and non-academic staff will be discontinued, and there will be a single joint account per office or working group. The use of a joint account should be consulted with the heads of secretariat/heads of office.

In general, after 6 months of inactivity, users will be contacted to explore their needs for using the account.

HOW TO USE QUALTRICS:
