Social Communication Research Group Book and Document Collection

Social Communication Research Group Book and Document Collection

The Mass Communication Research Institute, established at the end of the 1960s, has been one of the leading workshops in social research in Hungary for 20 years. During its operation, it has accumulated a significant, unique research base, a collection of manuscripts and books. After the change of regime, the Institute operated within the research group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences for 20 years and was led by dr. György Hunyady.

After the research group ceased to operate in 2012, the collection and document collection were taken over by the PPK Social Communication Research Group. As the research group's primary research area is theoretical communication research and its empirical, social psychological and social theory interdisciplinary field, the thematic rearrangement and expansion of the book and document collection has begun. From January 2014, it will support the psychological training of ELTE with its expanded profile and multimedia services, and will offer professional services in communication and social theory. Most of these developments are supported by of the Knowledge Society Foundation.

The collection is located on the 2nd floor of the Institute of Psychology of Eötvös Loránd University, room 202.
