Strengthening Academic Collaboration and Networks within the MARIHE Project

Two visiting scholars enhanced the program with their expertise. On 24 June, Max Kusters from Leiden University, ICLON, delivered an engaging lecture on Teachers’ Agency and led a workshop on Scenario-Based Research.
The following day, both scholars visited the Higher Education and Innovation Research Group and explored the NAME Doctoral Program. In the afternoon, Prof. Kat Yassim from the University of Johannesburg conducted an interactive workshop for MARIHE and EDiTE students on embedding sustainability into higher education curricula—a topic of vital importance.
The event concluded with a joint master thesis seminar, featuring Cohort 9 students from ELTE and Universität für Weiterbuildung, Krems tracks. Constructive feedback from supervisors, including Professor Gábor, Halász, László Horváth, Orsolya Kálmán, István Vilmos Kovács, Sina Westa, Corinna Geppert, as well as peer discussions, offered students valuable academic insights.
Finally, at the Teachers' Tea Afternoon Workshop, held in the framework of the Centre for Higher Education Pedagogical Methodology, students from the MARIHE Learning and Teaching specialisation presented their research topics in higher education and initiated world café discussions on the practical issues and academic implications of the topics.
The event was a resounding success, reinforcing the professional value of the MARIHE Project and strengthening connections within and beyond ELTE PPK.
