Successful faculty participation in the applications of university excellence fund
In the competition for outstanding scientific publications, the studies of the faculty's 12 lecturers and researchers were awarded. In addition, Barnabás Imre Szászi can create a new research group, thanks to the support.

The leadership and senate of ELTE established the University Excellence Fund in 2022. The University Excellence Fund Operational Committee evaluated the first round of applications. The winners were announced in five of the seven categories. ELTE PPK's employees also successfully participated in the competition.

In the call for outstanding scientific publications, the fund supported the author of a scientific publication published or accepted in the prestigious journal D1 in 2022 or 2021 and Q1 in certain disciplines. Within this framework, the studies of 12 lecturers and researchers of PPK were recognised in prestigious journals:

As one of the category winners supporting the research groups, assistant professor Imre Szászi Barnabás can start the ELTE Behavioural Science Lab. The work of the lab covers two major topics: on the one hand, an important goal is to help vulnerable social groups (e.g. the poor, families and gambling addicts) with behavioural science results and to develop related scientific theories further. Secondly, the group is working to develop the methodology of behavioral science (and often more broadly empirical social sciences). The two topics are related, as methodological recommendations are also used in their applied research, and they are looking for methodological solutions for the challenges that arise there. Barnabás Imre Szászi received a Promising Researcher at ELTE Special Award in 2021.
