Who can help me with what?

The Faculty Disability Coordinator and the University’s Disability Centre are jointly responsible for supporting the learning process of the students with special needs. The Students Union (HÖK) helps you with matters related to university life.

I. Faculty Disability Coordinator

Support and benefits can be given exclusively in relation with special needs. Students with special needs in case of issues related to learning and study environment can be helped by the Faculty Disability Coordinator.

  • They make the registration and consultation (office hours);
  • They is responsible for the assessment of individual needs;
  • They prepare certificates about the supports and benefits of the special needs;
  • she helps to communicate with the Students Affairs and Registrars’ Office and give opinions by the request for the Academic Committee, or with the International Office;
  • They keep in contact with the expert colleague of the University’s Disability Centre 

II. University’s Disability Centre

The University Disability Centre provides special support and services related to disabilities (e.g. pathway teaching for students with visual impairment and support in public transport for students with physical disability; help to use the Neptun System/teach accessible ICT techniques; tod material adaptation, learning book digitalization, creation of 3D print version of graphs and maps; organizing personal non-medical assistants as volunteer).

III. Faculty Student Union

The Equal Opportunities Officer of the PPK Student Union helps in matters related to student life, scholarships, social support and the organisation of faculty communities.

IV. Life Management Skills Counselling Centre

In case of difficulties and problems of life management skills, emotions and integration or in crisis situations the Life Management Skills Counselling Centre may provide individual consultation for all university students. It is not necessary to be registered by the Faculty Disability Coordinator to use this service.
