Walking the City

The aim of our project is to create added value in higher education by promoting intercultural learning through student mobility. The project uses a virtual space as a place of meeting point for students and teachers from different European countries and a means of exploring European cities and their cultural heritage. During one semester, students from different countries take part in preparatory classes and then begin their fieldwork. The result of the first month research will be uploaded on a virtual map, the content of which will be enriched also by the teachers’ inputs. This map will represent the virtual space that visiting groups will visit in the following months. Students in host countries will act as guides next to their visiting peers who will have the duty to create a research question related to spatial justice and answer it. Based on the experience of the project, we will aim to create an innovative digital teaching methodology.
