ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FACULTY QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
In the institutional development plan, Faculty management has targeted the strengthening of quality-driven operations. In order to promote reflection about quality, a process has been launched which will hopefully result in the faculty committing itself to a mature quality concept. Although the university has created quality improvement documents, the development of a faculty quality improvement system requires more than a mechanical adoption of these documents. It requires shared thinking, shared goals, and joint commitment.
OUR FACULTY SHOULD LEAD BY EXAMPLE
Thinking about quality offers opportunities for teaching, research and development, facing external challenges, or looking at the internal workings of the organisation. For now, however, it is worth focusing our energies on the world of learning and teaching, in line with the main focus of our Faculty. This can strengthen the higher education teaching expertise and prestige of the Faculty. The longer-term orientation of PPK also requires that the quality of learning and teaching – the quality of training at PPK – become a benchmark in Hungary. The focus on learning and teaching also provides an opportunity to rethink other issues related to faculty functioning (mainly related to the focus on training).
