Requesting SPSS free of charge

Public service employees, students, doctoral students, and doctoral candidates of ELTE PPK can require an SPSS license( version 25 or newer) code free of charge.

Requiring the code free of charge doesn’t require a request form.

The procedure for obtaining the code:

If you require SPSS code for a computer of ELTE:

• If there isn’t SPSS on the computer, or there is a version older than version 25, you can ask the installation of the new version from the IT specialist of the building on the following e-mail addresses: kazy.informatika@elte.hu and izu.informatika@elte.hu, or on the following extension: 6800. The number is 504467 in Szombathely. After the installation, the IT specialists will require the license code for you.

• If there is the version 25 on the computer, please send your name, Neptun code, version number of the software and the LOCK code of the software  to the spss@ppk.elte.hu e-mail address. After the request, the IT specialists will send you the license code for the activation.

If you require SPSS code for your own computer:

• If there isn’t SPSS on the computer, or there is a version older than version 25 on your computer, you can download the software on the  szoftver.elte.hu website. After installation, to get the license code, please send your name, Neptun code, number of the software and the LOCK code to the spss@ppk.elte.hu e-mail address. After the request the IT specialists will send the you the license code for the activation.

• If there is the version 25 on the computer, please send your name, Neptun code, version number of the software and the LOCK code of the software to the spss@ppk.elte.hu e-mail address. After the request, the IT specialists will send you the license code for the activation.

Attention:

You will find the LOCK code after the start of the SPPS Authorization Wizard program.

Please note that after the request of the license it can take days until you receive it, so please request it as soon as it is possible.

All required SPSS licenses are valid until 2019.10.31. The licenses which are available until 2020.10.31. are not available currently.

Downloading of the installation kit

Version 25 and 26 can be downloaded on the https://szoftver.elte.hu website.

You can log in to the website with your Caesar ID.

The installation kit is available for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux operation system.
