Information on receiving the diploma in the spring semester of the academic year 2024/2025 for students in Budapest

Students who have not registered for the graduation ceremony or have cancelled their registration can collect their diploma from the Registrar’s Office as follows:

• if you took your final examination before 20 June 2025, you can collect your diploma on 15-16-17 July (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) between 9:00 and 15:00.

• if you took your final examination after 21 June 2025, you can collect your diploma on 22-23-24 July (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) between 9:00 and 15:00.

During the graduation ceremony, the Registrar’s Office will be closed, therefore it will not be possible to collect your diplomas on the following days:
25 July 2025 (Friday), 28-29-30 July 2025 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).

After the graduation ceremony, diplomas can be collected on 31 July 2025 (Thursday), between 9:00 and 15:00.

After these dates, diplomas can be collected at the Registrar’s Office after 8 September 2025, during regular opening hours.

The Registrar’s Office is closed from 1 August to 5 September 2025.

Posting the diploma is not possible, it can only be collected in person. Valid photo identification is required to receive your diploma. During the above periods, you can authorize someone else to collect your diploma, by using the authorisation form below (make sure it is properly filled in and signed by two witnesses!).

Authorisation to receive your diploma

Regardless of how you collect your diploma, during the period between the final examination and the issuance of your diploma, you can request a certificate that your diploma is being issued. This certificate is valid for 30 days after the final examination and it can be used in lieu of the diploma during this period (e.g. for admission purposes).
