Information on the Thesis Topic Announcement in the spring semester of the academic year 2019/2020

The topics announcement should be submitted electronically on the following link:

Students should fill in the topic announcement form after the consultation with the supervisor in advance. If a student chooses an external supervisor (not a lecturer of the PPK or another faculty of the university), it is also necessary to find an internal supervisor according to most study programmes. (If you are not sure whether you can have only an external supervisor in your study programme, please contact the secretariat of the relevant institute, in advance.) Students and all supervisors designated in the document will receive the completed topic announcement form via email, automatically.

The supervisor reads the topic announcement form submitted and forwarded to their email address. If there are no comments, there is no further action to take. In the case of their disagreement, they write their comments to the student and to the email address provided by the institute.

The secretariats of the institutes in charge of students’ study programme will receive the submitted topic announcements in an Excel spreadsheet by 15 June 2020, the latest, that will be compared with any supervisor notifications received. They also collect the approvals of supervisors, Heads of programmes, specializations and Heads of Institutes, and they will send the Excel spreadsheet with the approved rows to the Student Affairs and Registrar’s Office, which also qualifies as an institutional approval of the topic announcement. Students are also informed about the consent of their topic announcement (this can be done in a circular email to students whose topic announcement has been approved without modification by everyone involved).

Attention: there are two thesis parts in the MA programme in psychology, two thesis topic announcements must be submitted, accordingly (with a separate deadline). In the case of portfolio-type theses, there is no need to submit a topic announcement or choose a supervisor.
