Do you have a new idea, a research finding or a development whose potential practical applications you would like to explore? It is worth considering the questions below and getting in touch with the faculty innovation manager.
1. Problems and needs
What exact problem does the idea solve?
2. New content
Is there a similar solution on the market or in the scientific community already?
In what regard is the solution new or better than the already existing ones?
3. Usability
Where can the results be applied (education, healthcare, the corporate sector, the public sector, etc.)?
Would there be any users or partners willing to pay?
4. Scientific background
What research findings support it? What evidence is available to support its effectiveness?
5. Feasibility
What resources are needed to implement it?
What risks might arise?
6. Intellectual property
Does it contain any elements that could be patented or otherwise protected?
Who holds the rights of use? (Who were the staff members involved in the development?)
7. Impact
What sort of social, economic or educational impact might it have?
How can its effectiveness be measured?
Opportunities for innovation, funding
You can further develop your ideas through a number of programmes and initiatives – such as the Hungarian Startup University Programme (HSUP) or the Faculty Innovation Award. You can find detailed information on these under the following menu item: Calls for applications, grants
