My research focuses on perfectionism in the workplace and music arts sectors, and it aims to determine relationships with other psychological factors such as performance anxiety, professional self-image, self-efficacy, and motivation. My research is mostly based on Self-determination theory (Deci and Ryan, 2000), which provides an explanation to understand individuals’ characteristics through the level of satisfaction of people’s basic psychological needs.
