The theme of this year’s ELTE PPK conference series is the adaptive university, learning communities, and individual and collective paths toward a new culture of self-development.

The future of higher education increasingly depends on the extent to which universities are able to function as adaptive, learning communities. Adaptation and continuous improvement are not merely institutional strategies, but shared practices: educators, researchers, development professionals, and students together shape the university’s new culture. Self-development thus becomes both an individual journey and a communal experience, made possible by reflection, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

The conference workshops provide a space for collaborative thinking, the exchange of experiences, and the exploration of new approaches: participants can seek answers to questions such as how to foster a culture of learning and development in today’s universities, and what methods, platforms, and community practices can support this process. Learning processes that build on diversity, differing perspectives, and collaboration will play a key role.

The goal of the event is to create an open professional community in which development is not an isolated individual task, but rather a university culture shaped collectively.
