Funding available: 1 000 000 – 20 000 000 HUF/project.
Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP)
The aim of this comprehensive educational programme for students is to introduce Hungarian university students to the world of innovation, modern entrepreneurial skills and, in particular, how start-ups operate. In the first semester of this two-semester e-learning module, the focus is on innovative thinking and gaining an understanding of the start-up world, whilst in the second semester, students can acquire practical knowledge relating to the structure of businesses.
The course is being launched as an English-taught university module, meaning that credits are awarded for completing it (2 credits in the first semester and 4 credits in the second semester at ELTE). Students who successfully complete the first semester will work in teams on a business idea from the second semester onwards and will be eligible for a general scholarship of 65 000 Forints per month.
Pathway to Business
The aim of the programme is to help PhD students turn their research findings into viable innovations and to launch new businesses based on cutting-edge research findings or technological solutions. This is complemented by business training, mentoring and financial support.
