StartWell – Student Mini Program Challenge for Well-Being
“Creative ideas for a healthy and mindful start to university life.”

Design a short, interactive, experience-based mini program that supports new students’ integration and well-being.

Would you like to create a creative and meaningful program that helps first-year university students settle in? Here is your opportunity!
The Faculty of Education and Psychology (PPK) invites applications from BA and MA students, working in teams of 2–4, to develop 20–30 minute interactive, psychoeducational, health-promoting mini programs.
The target group of these programs is first-year BA students entering university.

Aim of the Call

The aim is to develop creative, interactive, and experience-based mini programs that support first-year students’ health, well-being, and integration into university life.

Eligibility and Requirements

Applications must be submitted by teams of 2–4 students.

Each team must involve one supervisor (a faculty member, researcher, or PhD student of the Faculty), who will professionally review and approve the developed program.

The proposed mini program must:

  • be 20–30 minutes long,
  • be implementable in small groups (5–10 participants),
  • include interactive tasks that actively engage participants,
  • be cost-effective,
  • be environmentally conscious,
  • apply technical solutions that are appealing to university students.
Application Content

In addition to a short introduction of the participating students (max. 100 words per student), the application (2–3 pages) should include:

  1. Up to three main objectives of the mini program.
  2. Justification of the objectives with relevant literature and/or needs assessment.
  3. Description of the planned content, methods, and techniques:
    • what tools and methods will be used,
    • what each method aims to achieve.
  4. Indication of whether the program involves material costs and, if so, to what extent.
  5. A supporting statement from the supervisor.
