Main research areas
My research interests focus on the design, process and outcome evaluation and quality improvement of health promotion and drug prevention interventions using different methodologies, targeting different groups and different settings. Another important area of research is the mapping and analysis of prevention systems in terms of how and to what extent differently systems can contribute to effective prevention activities.
In addition, my research interests include the design (on-site and e-learning), implementation and evaluation of professional development (training) programmes for decision-makers and practitioners in the field of drug prevention.
Within the research area of health behaviour and well-being of school-aged children, I am investigating the role of socio-economic status, family background, parental monitoring/education and school environment.
