Dr. Lilla Máté-Kovács is a lecturer and research fellow at the Institute of Psychology, Eotvos Lorand University (ELTE), Budapest, Hungary. She received her Ph.D. with summa cum laude in 2022 at ELTE. Lilla’s research focuses on the maladaptive emotion regulation strategies of healthy adults and clinical populations. In 2021 Lilla completed a one-year Fulbright scholarship as a visiting researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder (Boulder, CO, USA), where she investigated emotional reactivity in bipolar disorders. During her PhD studies, Lilla worked as a research fellow in the Hungarian Brain Research Program at Semmelweis University, Budapest, where she deepened her knowledge in neuroscience via assisting fMRI scans and analyzing fMRI data. Being concerned about the environment, she currently investigates emotional responses to the climate crisis and their relationship with pro-environmental behavior.
