Gaming disorder has recently been included in the International Classification of Diseases 11th Revision (ICD-11) as an official diagnosis. The Addiction Research Group of the Psychology Institue ELTE Eötvös Loránd University has been conducting research in this field since 2009, with a special focus on the assessment, epidemiology, and aetiology of gaming disorder. Our research group has taken part in the work to prepare the ICD-11 diagnosis.

We have developed assessment instruments targeting video gaming motives.
