Main research areas
Adolescence is a critical period for the development of emotional and cognitive functions, during which significant changes occur in brain networks. My research focuses on the development of emotion regulation and executive processes during adolescence, and on mapping out the factors (e.g., environment, SES, pace of biological maturation) that influence these changes. A highlighted topic in my research is exploring the relationship between emotion regulation and executive functions, and how these abilities contribute to healthy psychological development.
