My research focuses on the assessment and psychological correlates (including the motivational aspects, as well as personality and family characteristics) of substance use behaviour and behavioural addictions, including gambling, video game playing, internet addiction, compulsive sexual behaviour disorder, exercise addiction, work addiction, and compulsive buying-shopping disorder.  

My research focuses on understanding the clinical characteristics and diagnostic features of different addictive behaviours (both substance-related and behavioural addictions), as well as the assessment of their severity.  

My research focuses on the epidemiology of different substance use-related (alcohol, cannabis, novel psychoactive substances) and non-substance-related (e.g., gambling, video game playing, internet addiction, compulsive sexual behaviour disorder, exercise addiction, work addiction, and compulsive buying-shopping disorder) addictive behaviours.
